The Center for Leadership is affiliated with the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. The Center’s mission is to serve business, nonprofit, government, education and community leaders by offering growth opportunities in our backyard to introduce leaders to each other, and foster synergy.
We are pleased to launch the fifth Southwest Gwinnett Chamber Leadership Institute offering, beginning Tuesday, February 12, 2019, bringing local leaders together to develop mindsets and skill sets that equip them to serve the real needs of their families, businesses, and community.
Over more than twenty-five years, The Leadership Challenge has been known as a research-driven, evidence-based leadership development model. It is based on the core principle that leadership is a measurable, learnable, and teachable set of behaviors.
The workshop is an intensive six-week series of leadership development interactive sessions based upon research by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, co-authors of the award-winning and best-selling book, The Leadership Challenge. This book was selected as one of the Top 10 books on leadership of all time (according to The 100 Best Business Books of All Time). The book has sold over 1.8 Million copies in more than twenty languages.
Lead by Leadership Coach and Strategist Betsy Pickren, here are the topics we will study in the Leadership Challenge Workshop:
- Model the Way
- Inspire a Shared Vision
- Challenge the Process
- Enable Others to Act
- Encourage the Heart
